Savills appointed as project manager for new ST Engineering facility

Arup Singapore which is in Partnership with intertional real estate firm, Savills Singapore, has been engaged for property consultancy on the retrofitting and architectural design of a $170 million curated airframe maintenance facility by Singapore-listed engineering group ST Engineering.In a Sept 23 press release, Savills gave its comment that as the appointed consultancy head, it will corporate hand in hand with ST Engineering throughout the whole project life cycle, from due diligence, design, procurement and construction of the new facility.The new 904,176 square feet maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) centre at Changi Creek will have four hangar bays that can service widebody aircraft, including a hybrid paint and maintenance bay. The first hangar bay is expected to be ready in mid-2K25, followed by the remaining three by the end of 2K26. Vincent Lau, vice president and development head in charge at Savills Singapore, says the project is the company’s fifth largest in their portfolio industrial greenfield development project awarded successfully through a tender by the consultancy team in the last two years. “It is a testament to the credibility and belief that our clients have placed in Savills as one of the forefront and reliable consultancy project management teams in the building and real estate related segment,” he adds.
